The Northern Rough-winged Swallow, Stelgidopteryx serripennis is a member of the family Hirundinidae within the Order Passeriformes.  It is native to southern Canada, the US and Central America.  Those north of Mexico migrate to the Gulf Coast and Central or South America for the winter.
