The Curve-billed Thrasher is a member of the family Mimidae within the Order of Passeriformes that occupies mainly desert regions in the southwest US and most of Mexico. Sharing a range with the Cactus Wren, both like to nest in Jumping Cholla, and it is very intolerant and fights to protect nestlings.
