The Curve-billed Thrasher is a member of the family Mimidae within the Order of Passeriformes that occupies mainly desert regions in the southwest US and most of Mexico.  Sharing a range with the Cactus Wren, both like to nest in Jumping Cholla, and it is very intolerant and fights to protect nestlings. In this gallery, shots and video of the one in grass and flowers were taken at Montrose Point when one strayed far from its normal range.
