Kingfishers are in the family Alcedinidae, within the order Coraciformes. Many catch fish, but some live in the forest. The Kookabura is a large member of the family, native to Australia and New Zealand, but using its laugh-like call is a favorite among Hollywood films, in any jungle settings whether in Africa or South America.
