The Burrowing Owl (Athene cunicularia), nest in burrows, usually excavated by Prairie Dogs.  They prey mainly on smaller rodents though, and insects, and have been known to place cow patties near their burrows to attract dung beetles.  When threatened they retreat to their burrows and make rattling and hissing sounds like a rattlesnake, an example of acoustic Batesian mimicry.
