The Bushtit (Psaltriparus minimus) is the only American member of the family Aegilathidae and lives in mixed open woodlands in the western North America from Vancouver to Guatemala.  It often feeds in mixed foraging flocks with chickadees and warblers , and builds a penduline hanging nest.
