The Brown Thrasher is a member of the family Mimidae, within the Order Passeriformes, and is the only member to live primarily in the eastern US.  It is the state bird of Georgia. It is noted for having over 1000 song types, the largest song repertoire of birds.  Each note is usually repeated in two or three phrases.
