The Sage Thrasher, Oreocoptes montanus is a member of the family Mimidae, within the Order Passeriformes breeds in western North America, usually in habitats as the name indicates.  However there was one stray at Montrose Point in Chicago which remained several days, allowing many to see it there.  Most of these pictures are of that individual, which is usually in the berry shrub.
